A teenaged girl who often helps out on the Expanding the
Table Food Truck is entering Summerville High School. She tried out for the High School Marching Band color guard and was very excited to be accepted to be part of the group. However, when she got some of the details on
being accepted she got the sad news from her family that they could not afford
the cost of the uniforms for her. A volunteer
from Expanding the Table approached Change for a Dollar to see if we could
possibly assist with the cost of the color guard uniform. The volunteer went to Summerville High School
and arranged for the payment of the uniform so the young lady will be able to
participate in the marching band in the new school year.
